About Me & Recommended Posts

That’s me. I think people look a lot cooler in black and white photos. And anytime I have a chance to look cooler, I’m going to do it.

I’m a music teacher and performer in Southern California. I’m currently on a break (turning into a long break) from a 15-year career as a minister, figuring stuff out, and preparing for whatever the next thing is. This blog mostly deals with the “figuring stuff out” part.

I’m recently single and share a home with my daughter, referred to in this blog as The Lovely Miss Courtney. She looks cool (and very cute) in either color or B&W, as you can see on the right.

If you’re new to the blog, at the bottom of this page there are links to a few of my favorite posts.

Also, you’ll notice a tab near the top of the blog titled “Uganda.” I recently spent two weeks there, working in some of the slum areas in and around Kampala, and there are several blog posts about that experience. It would mean a lot to me if you would take a few minutes and read those.

Thanks for reading. If you like the blog, tell your friends. If you don’t like the blog, tell your friends anyway; some of them might still like it.
