Albert Einstein defined “insanity” as “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different
results.”
Today was an insane afternoon, thanks once again to the __th grade class at my school. I continued the insanity by continuing to employ methods which, while working with other groups, don’t work on these people. The insanity stops tomorrow. I’m changing the game big time, and it’s going to freak these kids out.
After a long talk with the school principal, I have been given further tools to work with. Much bigger guns than I had before. So although I don’t have a class with these people tomorrow, I’m going to get them all together for a little talk. (I’ll talk, they’ll listen).
Hopefully, the control will now shift back over to me in that class. I’m sure some of the kids – and maybe even some parents – are going to be upset with me. Hey, they’re more than welcome to come sit in that class some Monday afternoon and give me their thoughts. Until then, it’s a whole new game – and I’m going to win.
**Note – the above picture isn’t actually Albert Einstein. It’s ME, the way I look after 45 minutes with these crazy people each week.
