How You Can Tell You’re Working At a Christian School, #1

As a new public service here at charleysblog, I’ll occasionally point out things that happen which reinforce the truth to me that, yes – I am working at a Chrisian School.

How You Can Tell etc. #1:

You’re showing a DVD in class in which a large orchestra and a conductor are demonstrating the various instruments of the orchestra, in a very serious, Caucasian manner. (Hey, it’s the Dallas Symphony Orchestra). They come to the “percussion” section. A man is seriously demonstrating various percussion instruments, one of which is the tambourine. As he very seriously and emphatically strikes the tambourine in an orchestral kind of way, a girl shouts out:

“Whooooo, we have those at our church!!!”

(“Church,” in this case, being pronounced “charch.”)
