Our good friends at the Weather Channel have a “White Christmas Probability Map.”
If you click on your region, it will tell you whether or not you’ll have snow on Christmas.
Once again, there will be no snow in Torrance, California, on Christmas.
To put this into perspective, I’ve lived in Torrance since 1988. There has never been snow on Christmas (or any other day). I’ve also lived in Southern California since 1969 (Long Beach), and there hasn’t been snow that whole time.
On the other hand, my first eight Christmases were spent in Alaska, and the two after that were spent in Colorado. We almost always had white Christmases in those places.
So, once again, I can safely put away my snow shovel.
