This afternoon, the Lovely Miss Courtney had to go to the emergency room. Before going any further, let me say that she has a kidney infection, is home, and is probably asleep at this moment, 9:28 pm Pacific Time. She’s taking some pretty turbo medication, and it’s all good.
I was at work, and got a text that while Courtney was just seeing our normal Dr., she was being sent to the E.R. in an ambulance. That seemed serious, so I told my piano student’s mom, who was hanging out in my room, that I was going to go to the hospital and check on my daughter. Which put the mom into major efficient “get Mr. Miller out of here and to the hospital right away – you kids stop asking him questions right now, he has to go” mode.
I won’t go into all the details of how long the wait was, and other unpleasant but routine E.R. things. I will say, however, that Courtney wouldn’t let me take her picture in the E.R. for the blog, which was kind of upsetting.
But, I did manage to get this one photo of her foot in one of those cool hospital socks they give you.
Blessings to The Lovely Miss Courtney for a fast – and complete healing! Hang in there Dad!
Hoping that she is feeling better! Ouchie.
Oh man! Hope Miss Courtney’s feeling a lot better and soon!! Yeesh!! XO
