This Saturday, I’ll be playing some jazz with three good friends at the Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society. It’s good to be back this year, after taking a break from it last year. If you’re near the Torrance CA area on Saturday April 25 around 4:30 pm, stop by Wilson Park.
We found that there were certain moments when we sounded Black (in our opinion), which is not easy for three White guys and an Asian. But we don’t really know how we achieved the Black thing, and it kind of comes and goes. So we’re thinking of changing our name to “Accidentally Black.”
**It should be noted, however, that when three White guys and an Asian think they sound Black, real Black guys may think they sound ridiculous.
