On the day of our last medical clinic in Uganda (Wednesday, July 13), we encountered a 15-yr-old girl. The doctor examined her and said she was experiencing heart failure, and needed to be hospitalized right away. The girl’s name was Grace.
After a few hours, we were able to put Grace and her mother on a boda-boda (motorcycle) and send them to the hospital. (Above photo on right – Grace is in the middle, with her mother behind her). Loving One By One covered all costs. Since that time, Grace and her mother have been staying at LOBO’s New Creation Home, getting ongoing care and lots of love from the 17 kids.
Ongoing prayer is needed for Grace. Today I saw this note on Facebook, and wanted to pass it along to all of you.
“15 year old Grace is not doing well. The Specialist today said that her kidneys are only functioning at 10% or less. She is going to be admitted to the hospital again tomorrow for a kidney biopsy. Please pray that this can be corrected with medicine and not have to have a kidney transplant.”
Thank you, massive blog reading audience, for your prayers. I’ll keep you updated.
