The lovely Miss Courtney is gone all this week, at Young Life Camp north of Sacramento. She’s up there with about a billion kids just like her – loud, enthusiastic, crazy, loud, nutty, and loud.
It’s OK – they’re equipped for it up there. Those Young Life people are professionals. We, on the other hand, are merely parents. Our skills are general, whereas the Young Life people’s skills are specific to working with loud, enthusiastic, crazy, loud, nutty and loud teenagers.
So while we hope she has fun, makes new friends and has some great encounters with God – we’re just enjoying a VERY VERY QUIET HOUSE.

I love this picture of Courtney! 🙂 Hope you’re enjoying the peace and quiet. We definitely miss “Napoleon” but our only thought right now is, “Please Lord, help him not to make ‘purple’!!” 😉

Wow. What are you guys going to do?
-Order pizza and leave the boxes on the floor?
-Get books from the library and read them in the house, and every time anyone talks you can “shush” them?
-Walk around the house in your chonies?
We do all that stuff anyway. This is the week to come up with something different!
My wife was just saying she wished we had given birth to girls. Nope, you can kick boys out.
