Pope Benedict (no kidding, I had to really think hard to remember his name) has made a strong statement – if you’re in any church other than the Roman Catholic Church, you’re not in the real church. That’s it. Sorry to have to break it to you. It’s just that with that whole apostolic succession thing, there’s no room for messing around on this one.
Three things…
One – I don’t agree with him.
Two – It must be really hard to follow a popular pope like John Paul II. Like I said, I had to think hard to remember his name. Maybe he really just needs some attention.
and Three – You know, the Catholics had a chance for a much cooler pope (see related story) and they turned it down. Their loss.
