Here we are, right in the middle of Hanukkah (or Chanukkah, for those who prefer the alternate spelling). For those of us who get busy with music this time of year, we have long ago accepted the fact that, in most of our venues, it’s the “Holiday Season,” which means, “For heaven’s sake, include a stinkin’ Hanukkah song in your program.”
So, having long ago determined that most Hanukkah songs sound pretty much the same, I’ve decided to take matters into my own hands and write my own song.
But I’m not a good songwriter, so this is all I have so far. Please, help me finish The Hanukkah Blues:
It’s Happy Hanukkah baby
But it sure gives me the blues
It’s Happy Hanukkah baby
Makes me feel bad for the Jews
I look forward to your suggestions.
PS… be sure to check out Menorah.com for the world’s largest selection of menorahs!
Being originally from Alaska, here’s my personal favorite…
Its Happy Hanukkah Baby,
But this year I’m not able
To feel that Hanukkah, Baby,
And spin that little dreidl…
What do you expect from a Swede??!! OY!! Love the Moose Menorah!! XO
