And I Thought I Had a Rough Music Morning Yesterday

Yesterday was a rough music morning in church. Everything was about 10 times harder than normal, mainly because I was missing 3 of my key musicians. I really depend on these guys, so every song felt like we were trying to push a boulder uphill.

By the way, a specical message to Connie, who I love and who reads this blog…

**I’m going to have to start hiding those tambourines.

However, my “rough” music morning in church pales in comparison to some other people I know here in town. A man on their worship team actually had a heart attack during church, and died on the way to the hospital. This man, an aquaintance of mine though not a close friend, is a talented and gracious man and I know he’ll be missed by many people.

So, anytime I think I’m having a rough church morning from now on (and to be honest, rough mornings like that don’t happen very often), I just need to be thankful that at least none of my musicians have actually died at church. Although it could happen, if certain people don’t leave those tambourines alone 🙂
