The Lovely Miss Courtney and I are leaving soon for Oklahoma to see my mom, Courtney’s grandma. Plus a few other relatives and a dog named Judy.
Courtney is head-over-heels in love with her grandma. Those two have had a huge bond since Courtney was a baby. Oh sure, my mom and I have that nice mother-son love thing, but believe me, it’s NOTHING like the thing she has with Courtney. If we were all three stuck in a lifeboat together and one of us had to go over the side, she would push me over in a second in favor of Courtney. Then she’d probably pull out a secret jar of cookies from her coat and give one to Courtney. She’s a total grandma.
