The past two days, Saturday and Sunday, which in my understanding constitutes a weekend, were a mixed bag.
Saturday I was in the dumps big time, which happens to me occasionally.
Today, with a little extra sleep this morning, waking up to a lot of light outside, having coffee outside in the cold air while seeing the ocean, practicing piano for a few hours, walking a few miles, and spending time with the Lovely Miss Courtney at Mosaic tonight – I’m in a much better place tonight than I was last night.
(I tell ya – when that Courtney gets in the car and starts singing Beatles music really loud, it just makes you smile).
So I’m not saying that I won’t get in that bummed place again. I’m pretty sure it’ll happen again, before the week is over. However, I am saying that doing healthy, productive things can often help to change the mood.
Plus, maybe I can try to just store Courtney in my car permanently so she can sing “Day Tripper” all the time.
